Materials within the collection
Scope and Content Note:
This collection consists of black and white photographs and negatives, with a few color negatives, taken by Harry Sheagley. The majority of the photographs were taken in his capacity as professional photographer, while some appear to be for his own personal collection. The negatives are black and white 3x5 inch, with a few color and 35 mm negatives, the bulk of which are images from his photography business, and some of his family.
The photographs are filed by the title Sheagley gave them, and the negatives are filed by the negative number assigned to them by Sheagley. Many of the negatives were also titled and dated by him. Nearly all the negative subjects consist of multiple negatives and have been given additional numbers to express this. Some of the negatives were unnumbered, as well as undated or untitled and are found at the end of the negative collection and have been given the designation of UN.
