Biographical Note:
William H. Records born in 1836 and was a farmer from Montmorency, Tippecanoe County, and Rising Sun, Ohio County. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War with the 72nd Indiana Regiment as a private and a corporal in the mounted infantry.
Scope and Content Note:
This collection includes Records Civil War diaries, a diary he kept while in Rising Sun, Indiana, a few miscellaneous papers, a partial transcript for his Civil War diaries (1862-1863), and copies of the rest of his Civil War diaries.
