Organizational Note:

Psi Iota Xi is a national philanthropic organization that was founded in 1987 in Muncie, Indiana.  The organization has three levels: national, regional, and local.  There are approximately 150 chapters in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.  Psi Iota Xi has been nationally recognized for its work in the speech and hearing field.  The organization is also active in aiding organizations for the arts, such as American Institute of Musical Studies and Gallaudet University Dance Scholarship.  Local chapters raise money to aid causes in their communities, as well as volunteer for various community activities.
