J. Bruce Murr was born in Indiana about 1907 and was the son of J. Edward and Mable L. Murr.

Scope and Content Note:
The collection contains a letter from J. Bruce Murr to Governor Roger D. Branigin about the gift of Jonathon Jennings’ (Indiana Governor 1816-1822) desk to the State of Indiana and a sworn oath from Murr’s father J. Edward Murr. The oath contains information about how he came to own Jennings’ desk, a description of the desk, and some information about Jennings.
