Biographical Note:

The General Land Office was established in 1812 as a part of the Department of the Interior. The GLO was charged with overseeing the sale of public lands to private individuals through offices in the states and territories where the land was located.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection is a land grant to Nathan Jackson for a piece of property in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
