Biographical Note:

The Huber family is descended from Hans Huber, born in Switzerland in the late 17th century.  Religious persecution against Mennonites forced Huber to flee his homeland in 1717 and to settle in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  The surname Huber was anglicized by some members of the family who adopted the name Hoover.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains genealogical information regarding the Huber family.  Included in the collection are family history research notes, summaries of the lives of various Huber family members, a photograph, several silhouettes, and several listings of birth and death dates.  The collection has a slight focus on two members of the family, Jacob and John Huber.
