Wilkinson, 2004 Biographical: Marie Barenbrugge Ervin gave the
speech "The Ku Klux Klan in Indiana" in 1974 in front of a women's
club in Hartford City, Indiana. Mrs. Ervin is a member of the Blackford County
Historical Society. Her spouse, William E. Ervin (d. 1999), was a prosecuting
attorney in Blackford County, city attorney for Hartford City (1987-1990) and a
trustee of the Indiana Historical Society. As of 2004, Mrs. Ervin still resides
in Hartford City, Indiana. Scope and Content Note: This collection contains a typed
copy of the speech "The Ku Klux Klan in Indiana" that Marie Ervin gave
