 William Denise was a resident of Charleston, Montgomery County, New York in 1839.  William H. Van Dor[en] was a resident of Laporte in 1839.  No other information is available on either correspondent.

 Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains one letter from William H. Van Dor[en] of Laporte to William Denise in Charleston, Montgomery County, New York.  The letter, written on July 28, 1839, discusses a recent visit between the two in New York and Dor[en]ís good prospects for the harvest.
