Biographical Note:
Charles G. Armstrong was born around 1831, probably in Ohio. His parents may have come from Pennsylvania and Virginia. Armstrong moved to the Kokomo area, where he may have worked as a farmer and merchant. Armstrong died July 7, 1901, in Kokomo.
Scope and Content Note:
This collection contains information about the estate of Charles G. Armstrong. It includes a personal inventory of the Armstrong estate in 1901, shortly after his death. It contains information about money he was owed from rents, dividends and stocks; money he owed; the expenses of the estate manager incurred while settling the estate; and expenses for repairs made to the Armstrong home in 1903. This collection also contains checks written to various individuals in 1903 and short notes kept by the estate manager.
