The Indiana Broadband Summit covered broadband accessibility and connectivity from both a statewide and national perspective. Sessions were led by Indiana's Geographic Information Officer, ENA and Urban Libraries Council. The Summit also discussed the Building Digital Communities Framework from the Institute of Museum & Library Services.
On June 7, 2011 the Indiana State Library held an all day summit with statewide participation, to discuss the future of broadband in Indiana’s public libraries focusing on increased bandwidth demand. In addition to presentations and panel discussion, the attendees participated in breakout sessions to brainstorm strategies to increase broadband capacities for library services as it relates to technology planning, funding and sustainability.
