AWE Early Literacy Station Grant
Thank you for your interest in an AWE Early Literacy Station! This page will provide you with general application guidelines to reference as you prepare your application for submission.
Application Guidelines
Twenty-two (22) AWE Early Literacy "All in One" with Touch Screen computers are available to Indiana public libraries (limit one (1) computer per library system). Applicants must demonstrate their need and describe how the computer will be used to facilitate early literacy in their library. Applications will be reviewed and scored based on demonstrated need and plans for use. Applications are due January 15, 2013 and applicants will be notified of their status by March 15, 2013 and computer delivery will be arranged at no cost to the library.
Application Information
The application has two sections. Section one is general information and section two is a narrative section. We do expect you will need at minimum one paragraph to answer most questions in the narrative section. Narrative questions:
- Explain how this computer system will benefit your library's patrons and explain your need for them.
- Does your library have any specific populations who would benefit from the addition of an AWE Early Literacy PC to your library? If so, please describe.
- Provide information about other early literacy activities your library is involved in.
- Describe how the computer system will be incorporated into your existing early literacy efforts.

Required Reporting
All AWE computer recipients will be required to complete a brief follow-up survey in fall of 2013.
