Biographical Note:

Louis Hollweg Haerle was born Nov. 14, 1896 in Indianapolis, IN to George C. and Norma H. Haerle.  He was one of 3 children, including Elizabeth and Rudolph.  He married Elsa Pautzer (born 1899) Oct, 5, 1921, and they are listed as having one child, Emmy Jean, in the 1930 census.  He married Dorothy Goodrich Dec. 25, 1933.  He died Nov. 27, 1972 in San Diego, CA.

Scope and Content:

The collection consists of 4 United States Department of Agriculture official forms; including a delivery receipt for the receipt of liming material for farm 32-006-10-115, a summary of farm data (for the same farm) showing a corn allotment and the owner’s share (Wilbur Cutts the operator, Louis H. Haerle the owner) and requesting the owner’s signature, a postcard detailing the time and place of assistance in completing the War Production Work Sheet and Farm Plan for 1943, and a notification of 1950 corn acreage allotment (for the same farm) to the operator, Van Johnson, and the owner, Louis H. Haerle.
