Member libraries have the opportunity to share many different resources. As a unified catalog system we share bibliographic and patron records and Policies & Procedures, but we also share digital content, training materials, forms, catalog enhancements, cataloging tools, promotional materials, and expertise!
The Evergreen Indiana consortium currently contracts with R.R. Bowker, LLP, to provide catalog enhancements including book covers, literary reviews, awards, read-alikes, contents, and excerpts for all members. A group purchasing discount on the RDA Toolkit is available for member libraries transitioning to the new RDA cataloging standards.
Member libraries are able to purchase item barcodes and library cards at a discounted rate as part of the Evergreen Indiana buying pool. Due to the high level of inter-library lending among members, Evergreen Indiana libraries automatically qualify for subsidies on INfoExpress deliveries.
The Indiana State Library and the Evergreen Indiana Governance subcommittees lead live trainings for member libraries' staff every month. These trainings are offered free of charge and may be hosted by the Indiana State Library or any member library with appropriate facilities. Most live trainings are eligible for LEUs. Registration is usually required to ensure sufficient supplies and space are available.
