No information found.
The collections consist of two letters to Daniel Lambert of Columbus, Bartholomew County, Ia [Indiana].
In the letter of 1-14-1845, Mr. Beekley writes from Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Ia [Indiana], informing Mr. Lambert of his recent health issues with fever and ague and pleurisy. He speaks of payments he owes Mr. Lambert and how he has sold a buggy and is trying to sell land to raise the payments. He mentions that Mr. Braden and brother-in-law may buy the land.
In the letter of 8-10-1845, Mr. Beekley informs Mr. Lambert that A. Gaskel, to whom he sold the buggy, has become insolvent and is unable to pay him; therefore he cannot pay Mr. Lambert all of what he owes. He is planning to sell land in Whitley County to Mr. [Beaetle] and he will send money as soon as he collects it from Mr. [Bechtel], mentioning informal law that prevents collecting money.
