This rule creates public library fund balance standards with regard to the library improvement reserve fund, operating fund, rainy day fund, and gift fund.

In accordance with Indiana law, the State Library will hold at least one public hearing at which time public comments can be made. However, comments and requests for hearing may also be submitted to sywatson@library.IN.gov. Comments and requests for a hearing may be mailed to 140 N. Senate Avenue; Indianapolis, IN 46204-2296. Comments will be accepted until the date the rule is adopted. Requests for hearings are posted below. Public comments may be inspected at the Senate Avenue location noted above.
