Norman H. Shortridge, born in 1898, was an officer in the U.S. Army (1917 – 1919, 1933 – 1954). Shortridge also served as an officer in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, and at Nashville, Brown County, Indiana from 1933 to 1942. Shortridge died in 1978.
