Historical Note:

The Ketcham family came to the United States in 1629, when Ed Ketcham sailed to Long Island from Cambridge County, England. Daniel Ketcham, who was born in 1753, fought for the rights of the colonists during the Revolutionary War. Family members moved all over the country, eventually ending up in Indiana by the 1830s, residing in both the Indianapolis and Bloomington areas.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains the family history of Ralph L. Anderson. It is five pages long and discusses the history of the family beginning in 1590 with the arrival of Ed Ketcham in Long Island. It continues until 1954. Other family names mentioned within the collection are Ketcham, Anderson, Merrill, Hibbon, McLandon, and Davis.
