Biographical Note:

John Anderson was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey in 1803. In 1832 he came to Indiana, where he purchased land in both Madison and Hamilton Counties. Anderson married Nancy Ann Stevenson (1804-1878) and together they would have four children. Anderson worked at the Hamilton County Sawmill. He died in Hamilton County, IN in 1881.

This collection contains an account book (photocopy) for the Hamilton County, IN sawmill. It details purchases made by the company and its transactions with its customers.
