Edmund Albertson was born in 1813 in North Carolina. After moving to Indiana, he married Sophia Morris on August 8, 1839. Together they had 6 children. Albertson worked as a physician in Canton, Indiana. He was also a member and minister of the Blue River Monthly Meeting (Society of Friends). He died in Canton on June 19, 1863.
Scope and Content Note:
This collection contains a letter (photocopy) from Edmund Albertson to his sister-in-law, Mary Morris of Mount Pleasant, Ohio. In this letter, Albertson discusses his children and family, the weather, a meeting of the Canton Library and the progress of a student who had gone onto college.
