Library > Collections > Indiana Collection > Clippings File Clippings File

The Indiana Division maintains a clippings file, or vertical file, consisting of newspaper and magazine articles, brochures, and brief publications on Indiana and its people. Begun in the 1920s, the Clippings File has grown to more than 250 linear feet of materials.

The Clippings Files Subject Headings List is the finding guide for this collection. It lists the individual names of folders containing clippings for each of the following areas: biography, Indiana subjects, Indianapolis subjects, Indiana artists, cities and towns, and counties.

The Clippings File is located on the second floor of the State Library, adjacent to the Indiana reference collection.
