Biographical Note:

No information is known about Bartlett Brown.

Scope and Content Note:

The collection contains a certificate for a wolf scalp.  The certificate originated from the State of Indiana by the clerk in Jennings County, James [Stott], to certify that Brown killed a wolf and produced its scalp as proof.  The state paid $2.00 to Brown.
