2009 Indiana Library Tour 2009 Indiana Library Tour

Dear Colleagues,

Throughout the year, I plan to visit many of Indiana’s public libraries to observe the creative and resourceful ways in which you serve your communities. All communities are different and consequently your public libraries provide different services and programs. I also look forward to meeting your staff, touring your library facility, and learning about issues that are important to your library and community, now and in the future.

I am writing a travel log about the interesting people I meet and the creative and varied ways that Indiana public libraries serve their communities. Please bookmark this page as it will be updated after each visit. I look forward to sharing my interesting experiences while visiting Indiana’s diverse public libraries.

If you are willing to host a public library tour event in the coming months, whether for a major event or just a simple meet and greet, please contact me at rbrooker@library.IN.gov. I look forward to the opportunity to visit your library, learn more about your services, and meet your staff and patrons.

Yours truly,

Roberta L. Brooker
Indiana State Librarian
