Public Computer Use Procedures

All patrons using internet computers, not dedicated to Genealogy research, must sign-in for such access at the Reference Desk.

Indiana residents must have an Indiana State Library card before they will be allowed use of this equipment.

Out of state visitors must present an official picture identification (driver's license, student id card, passport, etc.) and sign-in to use internet computers (Genealogy Division research computers are exempt).

All ISL library cards and out of state patrons' identification cards will be held at the Reference Desk while patrons are using the computers (Genealogy is again exempt).

Indiana State Government employees may use computers if they have their access cards on their person and sign-in at the Reference Desk. If they do not have their access card they must have or obtain an ISL library card. We will NOT take their access cards while they are using the computers (that would violate IDOA rules on displaying your access card while working in the government complex).

Computers 1, 2, and 9 are dedicated for email only at this time. A thirty (30) minute time limit policy for all patrons using the email computers will be enforced.
