Ancestry Library Edition: Online subscription available for use within the Indiana State Library, allowing access to hundreds of databases including indexes and images to US Federal Census records.

Heraldry File: Card file index to illustrations of coats of arms found in various sources in the Genealogy Division; alphabetically arranged by name; gives call number of the book and a brief title citation. In the Genealogy Division, first floor.
Index of Member's Names in the Lineage Books of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution: Card file alphabetical listing of the members whose lineages have been published in the DAR Lineage Books; identifies volume and page where the lineage appears. In the Genealogy Division, first floor.
Index to Blacks, Indians, Chinese, Mulattoes in the 1880 Census: Card file index arranged alphabetically by name; gives county, township, and microfilm census page number. Also available in book form. In the Genealogy Division, first floor.
Index to Indiana Enrollments of Soldiers, Their Widows, and Orphans 1886, 1890, 1894: Formerly available as a card file index from the original enrollment books in the State Archives; only the 1886 listings are indexed; an 1890 or 1894 book was substituted for a missing 1886 listing; alphabetically arranged by name; gives year of enrollment list, county, township of residence. Now available in book form, in the Genealogy Division, first floor.
Indiana Bible Records Index, compiled by the Indiana DAR: Card file index to the various Bible and family record books submitted annually by the Indiana DAR; copies of these books are also in the Genealogy Division. In the Genealogy Division, first floor.
Indiana Biography Index: Database to locate information about Indiana people from books and magazines published since 1990; also a card file index with hundreds of thousands of entries from books and periodicals published before 1990 is available as an online database or in the Great Hall for use in the building.
Indiana Cemetery Locator Index: Database to locate tombstone inscription indexes and other materials about Indiana's cemeteries, housed in the Genealogy Division, first floor.

Indiana Marriage Index 1958-1997, compiled by the Indiana State Board of Health: Microfilmed, with separate bride and groom indexes; gives names of both parties, county of marriage and marriage date. In the Microforms Area, second floor.
Indiana Mortality Records Index: Formerly available as a card file index arranged alphabetically by name; locates year, county, and page number of the mortality schedules taken by federal enumerators during the census years of 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880. Available in book form in the Genealogy Division, first floor. The microfilmed mortality schedules are located in the Microforms Area, second floor.
