On February 9, the Indiana Senate Democrats proposed an economic recovery package focusing on four critical areas of investment that would jump-start immediate job creation and make long-term investments in Indiana's economy. The package includes a series of actions that would direct $2 billion in investments of state and federal dollars to put jobless Hoosiers back to work.
Senate Democrats believe that the infusion of federal stimulus funds, if coordinated with the state budget, can free up state dollars for investment in Indiana's future through programs tailored to Hoosier needs.
