The Probate Code Study Commission is authorized by IC 2-5-16-12 to study and recommend to the General Assembly needed changes to the probate code (IC 29-1), the trust code (IC 30-4), and other statutes affecting the administration of a decedent's estate, guardianships, probate jurisdiction, trusts, or fiduciaries.

In addition, the Legislative Council assigned the following topics to the Commission for Study in 2001:

    A.    Uniform trust code (SCR 4)
