INTERIM STUDY COMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ISSUES
The Interim Study Committee on Economic Development Issues
was created by the Legislative
Council to do the following:
(1) Study economic development and job creation issues in Indiana.
(2) Conduct the statutorily mandated evaluations of the effectiveness of tax abatement
programs and local redevelopment commissions to create new jobs, increase income, and
increase the tax base in Indiana.
(3) Study the impact of changes in gaming laws in surrounding states on Indiana's gaming
industry.
