    SEC. 1. That Sec. 2 of the above entitled act be amended to read as follows: Sec. 2. That Sec. 2 of the above entitled act be amended to read as follows: Sec. 2. At and after the next annual meeting of said church and its congregation, after the passage of this act, the board of trustees shall consist of a number of members, which number shall be divisible by three and shall not be fewer than nine nor greater than twenty-four, as may be determined from time to time by action of the congregation in its annual meeting; the said board of trustees shall manage the temporal affairs of said congregation or church; said trustees shall be elected as follows: In the manner customary in said church, one-third of the number shall be elected for a term of one year; one-third shall be elected for a term of two years; and one-third shall be elected for a term of three years; and at each annual meeting thereafter of said church or the congregation thereof, there shall be elected one-third of the number of members of the board, who shall be elected for terms of three years each; and all such trustees shall serve until their successors are elected and qualified.
