FOR: EXTENSION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 15-05: DECLARATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY IN SCOTT COUNTY, INDIANA
TO ALL WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS.
WHEREAS, Executive Order 15-05 declared that a public health disaster emergency exists in Scott County, Indiana, attributable to an HIV epidemic in that county; and
WHEREAS, all efforts ordered or authorized by Executive Order 15-05 to be taken by state and local officials to contain the HIV epidemic in Scott County continue; and
WHEREAS, based on the data and progress under Executive Order 15-05 and in consultation with Scott County officials and Center for Disease Control experts, the Indiana State Health Commissioner recommends extension of Executive Order 15-05; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to
IC 10-14-3-12(a) a state of disaster emergency may not continue for longer than thirty (30) days unless the state of disaster emergency is renewed by the governor.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Michael R. Pence, Governor of the State of Indiana by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Indiana Constitution and the laws of the State, do hereby:
1. Extend the declaration in Executive Order 15-05 of the public health disaster emergency in Scott County, Indiana, attributable to the HIV epidemic in that county.
2. Extend all findings, authorizations and orders in Executive Order 15-05 in their entirety.
3. Order that this Executive Order and continued declaration of a public health disaster emergency in Scott County shall become effective immediately upon the 30th day of Executive Order 15-05, April 24, 2015, and unless extended, shall expire thirty (30) days from April 24, 2015.
It is so ordered.
