TITLE 840 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FACILITY ADMINISTRATORS

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule
LSA Document #15-78

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Health Facility Administrators intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 840 IAC 1-1-2 to include pertinent definitions. Amends 840 IAC 1-1-4 to include a student internship as a pathway to licensure. Amends 840 IAC 1-1-16 to allow a training center to serve as an approved preceptor. Adds 840 IAC 1-1-16.1 to specify the qualifications of a student intern. Adds 840 IAC 1-1-19 to specify the qualifications and duties of university accredited program preceptors. Makes other conforming changes. Comments and questions may be addressed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 25-19-1-8.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 4-4-35-8, specifically IC 4-4-35-8(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
