IC 4-22-2.1-5 Statement Concerning Rules Affecting Small Businesses
LSA Document #10-628, proposed for adoption by the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission, has no small business economic impact. The rule impacts emergency medical services providers by requiring them to have their medical director draft protocols for trauma protocols for field triage and transportation decision making. All EMS providers who do transport are required under current Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission rules (836 IAC) to have a medical director who is required to draft other operational protocols. The drafting of this additional protocol will not require any additional fiscal resources for any provider, in part because a sample template has been made available by the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission to all providers and their medical directors.
