TITLE 312 NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION

Under IC 4-22-2-23, notice is hereby given that on April 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at the Fort Harrison State Park Inn, 5830 North Post Road, Roosevelt Ballroom, Indianapolis, Indiana 46216, the Natural Resources Commission (commission) will hold a public hearing on amendments to 312 IAC 9-3-18.2 to allow an individual to trap river otter anywhere in the state, and establish a statewide quota for the river otter trapping season.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by the commission. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed rule amendments.

If the commission does not receive substantive comments during the public comment period or public hearing, the rule may be adopted with text that is the same as or does not substantially differ from the proposed rule.

The public may attend the Natural Resources Commission meeting in person or join using the information posted at https://www.in.gov/nrc/rules/rulemaking-docket/.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Natural Resources Commission, Division of Hearings, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N103, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
