TITLE 250 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING BOARD

Under IC 4-22-2-23, notice is hereby given that on December 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, 5402 South County Road 700 East, Plainfield, Indiana 46168, the Law Enforcement Training Board (board) will hold a public hearing on amendments to 250 IAC 2-2-1, 250 IAC 2-2-3, 250 IAC 2-2-4, and 250 IAC 2-4-1 concerning the waiver requirements for an officer seeking to waive the basic training requirement; an officer's failure to complete the basic training course within one (1) year of the first or original appointment date; an increase of the minimum hours for the basic training program curriculum (Tier I); and the agencies approved to participate in the Tier II basic training program.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by the board. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed amendments.

If the board does not receive substantive comments during the public comment period or public hearing, the rule may be adopted with text that is the same as or does not substantially differ from the proposed rule.
