Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on August 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Auctioneer Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to add
812 IAC 1-2 concerning convictions of concern.
The proposed rule does not impose requirements or costs under
IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3). This rule implements the provisions of
IC 25-1-1.1-6 requiring every board, commission, or committee under
IC 25 to revise its licensing or certification requirements to explicitly list the convictions of concern that may disqualify an individual from receiving a license; to establish criteria to determine whether an applicant should be denied a license if they have a conviction of concern; and to establish a procedure for an individual to receive a pre-application determination as to whether their criminal history would preclude them from obtaining a license.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
