Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Department of Health will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to amend 410 IAC 29 to update definitions and to lower the standard for an elevated blood lead level.

Pursuant to IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3), this rule change is necessary to help protect the health of children by identifying and providing services to those with an elevated blood lead level, which will improve health outcomes for children exposed to lead by helping prevent further exposure.

Copies of this rule and any documents used to determine justification for the requirements are now on file at the Office of Legal Affairs, Indiana Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
