Notice of American Rescue Plan Act Mandatory COVID-19 Provisions


In accordance with public notice requirements established at 42 CFR 447.205 and Section 1902(a)(13)(A) of the Social Security Act, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) publishes this notice of mandated COVID-19 coverage under the American Rescue Plan Act. The public notice period will run 05/25/2022 through 06/24/2022.

OMPP is making these changes to comply with the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The following provisions will be provided with no cost sharing to Medicaid beneficiaries: the COVID vaccine and its administration, COVID vaccine counseling under the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit for individuals 21 years of age and under, COVID testing, and COVID-related treatments. This change will be effective at the end of the federal public health emergency and will end the last day of the first calendar quarter that begins one year after the last day of the federal public health emergency.

A copy of this notice is now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W451, Indianapolis, Indiana and is open for public inspection. Also, a copy of this notice is now available and may be inspected by contacting the local county Division of Family Resources (DFR) office, except in Marion County, where public inspection may be made at 402 West Washington Street, Room W374, Indianapolis, Indiana.
