TITLE 470 DIVISION OF FAMILY RESOURCES

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule
LSA Document #22-142

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Division of Family Resources intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Adds 470 IAC 15 concerning processing of claims for reimbursement for funeral and cemetery costs, and to list the requirements that funeral and cemetery providers must meet to obtain reimbursement for claims, including the requirement that funeral and cemetery providers must submit their claims to the Division of Family Resources within 90 days of the date of death of the decedent, and the requirement that funeral and cemetery providers must report additional monies received within 90 days of receipt. Statutory authority: IC 12-13-5-3.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 5-28-17-6, specifically IC 5-28-17-6(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
