Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on May 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) will hold a public hearing on proposed rules to add 68 IAC 21-8, 68 IAC 21-9, 68 IAC 21-10, 68 IAC 21-11, 68 IAC 21-12, 68 IAC 21-13, and 68 IAC 21-14 regarding charity gaming, and repeal 68 IAC 21-1, 68 IAC 21-2, 68 IAC 21-3, 68 IAC 21-4, 68 IAC 21-5, 68 IAC 21-6, and 68 IAC 21-7.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by the commission. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed rules.

The IGC has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of IC 4-32.3-3-3. IC 4-32.3-3-3(a) requires the IGC to adopt rules related to charity gaming in Indiana. The costs associated with the proposed rule are necessary to ensure consumer protections are in place and the standards and integrity of charity gaming are upheld in Indiana. The IGC has relied solely on internal analysis regarding the imposition of costs.
