Notice of Public Hearing
Under

or

using Access Code 610915440, the Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to add
839 IAC 1-7, concerning convictions of concern. This rule implements the provisions of
IC 25-1-1.1-6 requiring every board, commission, or committee under
IC 25 to revise its licensing or certification requirement to explicitly list the convictions of concern that may disqualify an individual from receiving a license; to establish criteria to determine whether an applicant should be denied a license if the applicant has a conviction of concern; and to establish a procedure for an individual to receive a pre-application determination as to whether the individual's criminal history would preclude the individual from obtaining a license.
The proposed rule does not impose any cost under
IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
