Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under
IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana Department of Veterans' Affairs intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:
OVERVIEW: Amends
914 IAC 1-1-12 to revise the definition of therapeutic services. Amends
914 IAC 1-2-1 to remove redundant application requirements. Amends
914 IAC 1-2-2 to remove the shall provision and redundant language. Amends
914 IAC 1-2-4 to redefine organization's purposes. Amends
914 IAC 1-2-5 to update the grant performance period. Amends
914 IAC 1-3-1 to remove redundant language. Amends
914 IAC 1-3-2 to add language regarding service in the National Guard and reserves. Amends
914 IAC 1-4-1 to remove geographic needs regarding grant recipients. Amends
914 IAC 1-4-3 to remove language for grading criteria, letters of support, and key performance indicators, and add language for geographic area. Amends
914 IAC 1-5-1 to remove quarterly reporting requirements, add language for the department, and further define case management language. Amends
914 IAC 1-5-3 to remove noncompliance language. Amends
914 IAC 1-5-5 to conform to the repeal of
914 IAC 1-5-4. Repeals
914 IAC 1-4-2,
914 IAC 1-4-5, and
914 IAC 1-5-4. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher. Questions or comments concerning the proposed rule may be directed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority:

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in
IC 5-28-17-6, specifically
IC 5-28-17-6(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
