TITLE 675 FIRE PREVENTION AND BUILDING SAFETY COMMISSION

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 675 IAC 12-3-13 to clarify the language and remove outdated provisions concerning fees for boiler and pressure vessel inspection, permitting, inspector licensing, and variances. Amends, repeals, and adds sections in 675 IAC 30 to modernize the regulations governing the design, manufacture, fabrication, assembly, installation, alteration, repair, maintenance, operation, and inspection of regulated boilers and pressure vessels. Questions and comments concerning the proposed rule may be sent to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 22-12-6-6; IC 22-13-2-8; IC 22-13-2-13.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 5-28-17-6, specifically IC 5-28-17-6(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
