Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under
IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Department of Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:
OVERVIEW: Amends
410 IAC 16.2-3.1-25 to remove language allowing for unused portions of medications to be destroyed within seven days and replace with language to render nonretrievable within three days, to define rendering nonretrievable, and to add authorized storage containers as a method of disposing of unused portions of medications. Amends
410 IAC 16.2-5-6 to align with
410 IAC 16.2-3.1-25. Statutory authority:
IC 16-28-1-7.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in
IC 5-28-17-6, specifically
IC 5-28-17-6(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
