Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on September 4, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., via telephone conference accessible online or via telephone at:

using Access Code 160 377 7103 and Password 1234, the Indiana State Department of Health will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to
410 IAC 3-3-3 to update and add to the list of disorders all newborns and infants shall be screened for,
410 IAC 3-3-3.5 to set standards for pulse oximetry screenings, and
410 IAC 3-3-13 to increase the fee charged for newborn screenings to cover the cost of screening for new disorders.
The Indiana State Department of Health has the authority to adopt this rule under
IC 16-19-3-4 and
IC 16-41-17. This rule will impose an increase to the newborn screening fee of $15 per screening to help defray the costs of the additional disorder. The increased fee is based on the projected cost of the program and the estimated number of newborns screened per year.
