Notice of Public Comment Period for Children's Health Insurance
Program Compliance with the Managed Care Federal Regulations
July 15, 2020


In accordance with public notice requirements established at 42 CFR 447.205, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) publishes this notice to amend the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) State Plan in accordance with the new section 5022 of the Substance Use–Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities (SUPPORT) Act. This public notice period will run from 7/15/2020 through 8/15/2020.

PURPOSE

This CHIP State Plan Amendment (SPA) will allow the state's CHIP to demonstrate compliance with the new section 5022 of the SUPPORT Act. At this time, there is no estimated fiscal impact.

SUBMISSION OF COMMENTS

A copy of this notice is now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W451 and is open for public inspection. Also, a copy of this notice is now available and may be inspected by contacting the local county Division of Family Resources office, except in Marion County, where public inspection may be made at 402 West Washington Street, Room W374, Indianapolis, Indiana.

There will be no public hearing. Anyone who wishes to comment on the proposed renewal may submit through August 15, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Written comments may be sent via email to: gabrielle.koenig@fssa.in.gov or by mail to:
