LSA Document #19-685

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on March 6, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana State Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Department of Health will hold a public hearing on proposed new rules, which add 410 IAC 40 to add regulations to implement the certificate of need for comprehensive care health facilities program required by IC 16-29-7.
The Indiana State Department of Health has the authority to adopt this rule under IC 16-29-7-19. This rule will impose an application fee of $5,000 to help defray the costs of operating the program. The Indiana State Department of Health established this fee after reviewing other states' fees for similar programs, the costs of the projects subject to the rules, and estimating the amount of staff time needed to operate the program. This fee is the same as the previous emergency rule fee for this program and is consistent with industry expectations.
Copies of these rules are available the Indiana State Department of Health website at:
http://www.in.gov/isdh/25665.htm
Copies of these rules and any documents used to determine the fee are now on file at the Office of Legal Affairs, Indiana State Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
