Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 22, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 1, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule concerning procedures to change a driver's license or identification card.

Justification Statement: The proposed rule will streamline the process for amending an individual's gender on a driver's license or identification card and ensure uniformity in the records maintained by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Indiana State Department of Health. The proposed rule change will create a more consistent process and makes minor nonsubstantive amendments to bring further clarity to the rule. Copies of any justification data (referenced data, studies, or analyses) are now on file with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and available to be inspected and copied at the Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N404 pursuant to IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).
