Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 7, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Geological and Water Survey, 420 North Walnut Street, Room 120, Bloomington, Indiana 47404, the Indiana Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists (LPG) will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule (LSA Document #19-162) increasing fees for licensing and renewals. The application fee will increase from $70 to $160 and include the first three (3) years of fees for the new licensee. The three (3) year renewal fee will increase from $60 to $150.

The increase is needed for Indiana LPG program solvency. The program is self-sustaining and with no increase, there will be insufficient funds to continue the program past fiscal year 2022.

The proposed rule, data, and analyses are available for viewing and copying at the office of the Indiana LPG Licensing Coordinator at the Indiana Geological and Water Survey, 420 North Walnut Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47404, Room 201, Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The fee increase rulemaking docket is available on the LPG website at https://igws.indiana.edu/LPG/.
