In accordance with public notice requirements established at 42 CFR 447.205, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) publishes this notice of Waiver Renewal.

PURPOSE

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) administers the Medicaid Rehabilitation Option (MRO) program, with policy and operational oversight provided through the FSSA's Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) and Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA). MRO services include community-based mental healthcare for individuals with serious mental illness, youth with serious emotional disturbance, and/or individuals with substance use disorders. MRO services may include clinical attention in the member's home, workplace, mental health facility, emergency department, or wherever needed. The MRO 1915(b)(4) waiver allows for selective contracting with Community Mental Health Centers across the state to provide MRO services.

Effective June 1, 2019, the MRO 1915(b)(4) waiver renewal removes Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Peer Recovery Services, and Crisis Intervention from MRO. These services will be moved to the clinic option in the Medicaid State Plan.
