TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule
LSA Document #18-280

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 345 IAC 2.5-3-1 to remove from the definition of "test eligible cattle" the requirement that, when moving from modified accredited states or zones, cattle under two months of age must originate from a herd that had a negative tuberculosis herd test of all animals 12 months of age and older within the past year in order to be exempt from the definition. Amends 345 IAC 2.5-3-2 to remove the requirement for a person to test sexually intact female cattle of dairy breeds, including dairy cross breeds, that are six months of age or older that originate from an accredited-free state or zone or a modified accredited advanced state or zone prior to movement into the state. Amends 345 IAC 2.5-3-4 to extend the validity of the accredited herd status from 365 days to 730 days from the date it is earned.
