In February 2018, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Division of Mental Health and Addiction Adult Services (DMHA-A) submitted a proposed renewal of the Adult Mental Health and Habilitation (AMHH) State Plan Benefit to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for consideration. The AMHH renewal was made available for review and public comment from December 27, 2017, until January 26, 2018. This notice is a clarification of the public notice issued during this time.

The renewal to the AMHH State Plan Benefit includes information regarding changes made to the program which will have an effective renewal date of October 1, 2018, contingent on CMS approval. Changes to the AMHH State Plan Benefit include clarification of the eligibility period for AMHH in the Individualized Integrated Care Plan (IICP), an update to the monitoring of the service utilization standards, and the addition of clarifying language for quality compliance processes. There were no changes to the rates or rate methodology in the AMHH renewal.

The purpose of this clarification is to share the fiscal impact for the AMHH State Plan Benefit Renewal.
